2007 Waitlist - How it works
This year any one that wants to enter the CANO Halfpipe and/or Slopestlye Pre-qualifiers (or Qualifiers for the ladies) must register for the Canadian Open Registration Waitlist. The lottery will be open from 12:00amEST on September 20, 2008 to October 20, 2008.

If we receive more registrations per format than the number of pre-qualification spots available, riders will be selected from the Registration Waitlist based on their BGOS standings/results and their TTR standings/results, with priority given to the riders with the best standings/results.

On or before October 27, 2008, you will be notified VIA EMAIL (and only email) if your registration has been successful and that your entry for the Canadian Open Halfpipe and/or Slopestyle Pre-Qualifiers is confirmed. At that time, you will automatically be charged the applicable Canadian Open registration fee(s) (a total of $75 for each event).

DO NOT CONTACT EVENT ORGANIZERS REGARDING YOUR STATUS. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL IF YOU WERE SELECTED.

If you are not selected from the Registration Waitlist, you will be notified as well VIA EMAIL and your name will REMAIN ON THE REGISTRATION WAIT LIST. In case we receive cancellations from the selected riders, you will be notified immediately.

Who Must Register for the Lottery
All riders who did not get a special invite, MUST compete in the Pre-Qualifying (or Qualifiers for the ladies) rounds at this year's event and MUST register for the Registration Waitlist.

Any riders that advance from the Pre-Qualifiers (or the Qualifiers for the ladies) will have to pay an additional CAN$75 on site before they can compete in the next round.

NOTE: IF YOU ARE NOT SERIOUS ABOUT COMPETING AT THE CANADIAN OPEN, PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER FOR THE REGISTATION WAITLIST. IF YOUR NAME IS SELECTED FROM THE REGISTRATION WAITLIST, YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE CHARGED A NON-REFUNDABLE MINIMUM AMOUNT OF CAN$75 FOR ENTRY FEE PER EVENT.
